How He Heals (sermon audio: Sunday a.m.)

Mark 5 unfolds the stories of three people in desperate need of the same thing - healing. The woman with the issue of blood, Jairus’ daughter, and the maniac of Gadara are all examples of people who needed a touch from the Savior. This chapter reveals some interesting aspects of the miracle of healing. As with the woman, we see that her faith healed her, but not just her physical problem; it also saved her soul. Nothing could get in her way of touching the Savior. Faith does play a major role in our healing because God is interested in redeeming our bodies and souls. Earthly healing is only temporary, but gives us a small taste of what is to come when God’s redemption plan is complete.
